Finish the Stop Your Way

Partial-shipment completion and tap-or-scan settings that fit how each dealership works.

Home Flexible Completion

Real routes are not always complete

Sometimes a part is short, back-ordered, or simply missing from the truck when the driver reaches the stop. A rigid app that refuses to close the stop until every single part is accounted for leaves the driver stuck — parked at the customer, unable to move on. ScanIt Delivery is built for how routes actually run.

Partial-shipment completion

When some parts are short or missing, the driver can still finalize the stop or the route. Instead of being blocked, the driver gets an explicit confirmation step: the app makes clear that the stop is being completed short, and the driver confirms on purpose. Nothing closes silently, and nobody is stranded waiting for a part that is not on the truck.

Why the confirmation matters:

The explicit confirm means a short stop is always a deliberate choice, not an accident. The completion is recorded accurately, so the office knows exactly which parts still owe the customer.

How a short stop closes

  1. The driver works the stop and finds one or more parts are not there to deliver.
  2. The driver moves to complete the stop or route.
  3. The app presents an explicit confirmation that some parts are short or missing.
  4. The driver confirms, the stop closes with an accurate record, and the route keeps moving.

Tap-or-scan, set per dealer

Different dealerships want different levels of scanning discipline. Some want every part scanned at every stop; others move enough volume that scanning each individual part slows drivers down. ScanIt Delivery leaves that choice to the dealership.

With per-dealer settings, a dealership can allow tap-to-confirm delivery so drivers do not have to scan every single part. Where it is turned on, a driver can confirm delivery with a tap instead of a scan. Where it is left off, scanning stays required. The behavior follows each dealer's settings — it is not a driver-by-driver free-for-all.

Who controls it:

Tap-or-scan is governed by per-dealer settings, not something a driver flips on the fly. The dealership decides the policy; the app enforces it consistently across the team.

Two levers, one goal

  • Partial completion keeps drivers moving when the truck is short, with an accurate short record instead of a blocked screen.
  • Tap-or-scan settings let each dealership tune how much scanning happens at the door, balancing speed against verification.
  • Together they let the app match the way your parts department actually runs deliveries — strict where you want it, fast where you need it.
